

Olive Branch - Robbie Jean Potts - Today marks the passing of a wonderful woman that came to Olive Branch as a bride in 1947. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Olive Branch. She worked in the church kitchen as well as provided donuts for many Sundays before church service. She was a 47 year member of Loftin Chapter #309 Order of Eastern Star, serving in 2008 as Grand Representative of Ohio in Mississippi. She was active in Golden Branches at Olive Branch Senior Citizen Community Center. Cooking and baking were her favorite things, although she sewed and made many quilts. She was born in Senatobia, MS to Monroe and Eunice Brewer. She leaves five children: Sue Moore (Dennis); Mae Brimingham (Dean); Charles Potts (Francie); Billy Potts (Debbie) Shelia Welch (Bill). Two sisters: Burma Asbell of Bellevue, FL and Marie Bryan of Olive Branch. She leaves 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren as well as one great-great-grandson and sisters-in-law, Margaret Dunlap and Joyce Brewer. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Kathryn Taylor and two brothers, Earl and Jerry Brewer. She will be greatly missed by many relatives and friends. There will be a gathering of friends Monday, December 9, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. Services will follow Tuesday, December 10 at 2 p.m., all at the Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch, MS.
