Ronald Dennis DeLaney

Ronald Dennis DeLaney, 81, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Baptist DeSoto in Southaven, MS. He was born on February 21, 1939 to the late Elmer and Helen DeLaney in St. Louis, MO. Ron retired from Tyson Foods Inc. after 25 years of service. He served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corp. Ron’s favorite hobbies included golfing, fishing, playing cards, and going to the movies. He loved spending time with his friends and family. He will be missed dearly. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice R. DeLaney; a son, Tim DeLaney, and a brother, Mike DeLaney. Ron is survived by his loving wife, Alice L. DeLaney; three children, Mike DeLaney (Kim), Tony Templeton (Amy), Diane Johnson, and a sister, Marilyn Schultz (Tom). He also leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 2:00 pm with visitation beginning at 12:00 pm at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch, MS 38654.
