Ruth Oxner Nelson, 84, of Olive Branch, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017. Mrs. Nelson was born in Tupelo, MS and was retired as a Teacher's Assistant with Olive Branch Schools. She loved her family dearly. Mrs. Nelson was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church where she also worked in the pre-school ministry for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Mitchell Nelson, and her parents, B.L. and Grace Oxner. Survivors include her children, Brenda Kimball, Patsy Toledo (Tom), and MItchell Nelson, II (Annette), her sister, Peggy Moss (Porter), seven grandchildren, Trey, Samantha, Michelle, Bryan, Halie, Laura, and Erica, and eighteen great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday, June 2, 2017 from 5-8pm and the funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 10am, all at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum St. Olive Branch.
