She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Clevis Perkins ; her daughter Penny (Rick) Dowdy; son Keith (Michelle) Perkins; 3 grandchildren Justin McCollum, Presley Perkins, and Jordan Wheaton; 3 great-grandchildren, Eli McCollum, Halle Pearl Wheaton, and Raina Mae Wheaton. She also leaves behind 5 sisters; Audrey Nichols, Leola Brandon, Vivian Pierce, Sadie Hanna and Norma Roberts and one brother Sterlin Bumpus.
A gathering of friends and family will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday July 30, 2014 at Brantley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014 also at Brantley Funeral Home with burial to follow at Greenleaf Cemetery.
