

Samuel David Wolfe, age 59, resident of Somerville, Tennessee, departed this life Thursday evening, June 19, 2025. Sam was born October 31, 1965 in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of Billy and Mary Wolfe. He was known to be a “jack of all trades” as he was working as a police officer with the Somerville Police Department, Pastor of Feathers Chapel Baptist Church, and owner of Somerville Dry Cleaners. He loved the Lord, and he loved his family. He enjoyed traveling to Gatlinburg and Cabo San Lucas for vacation. Sam was preceded in death by his father, Billy, and brother, Willy. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Gwendolyn “Patty” Wolfe, daughters: Kristy Throckmorton (Josh), Amanda Snipes (Tim), Brooke Galan, and son: Samuel David Wolfe, Jr. (Ariel). He was lovingly known as “Gramps” to his 11 grandchildren. Sam leaves behind his mother, Mary Wolfe, and his brothers: Robert Wolfe (Michelle), and James Wolfe (Trisha). He also leaves many nieces and nephews. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day- and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:7-8. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 2:30 PM at First Baptist Church Somerville, 12685 S Main St. Somerville, TN. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be directed to National Fraternal Order of Police, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, American Liver Foundation
or Samaritans Purse.
