Rest In Peace -Joan Stevens passed away peacefully on Friday, October 24, 2014 at Sunnybank Centre, Oliver, B.C. Predeceased by husband of 69 years, Lloyd Romeo Stevens. Lovingly remembered by her children, Gary (Leni) and Patricia and her grandchildren, Chris & Nick. Predeceased by brother, Robert Wiggens and sister, Patricia Hilder. Joan was born January 26, 1921 at Prince Rupert, British Columbia where she met and married Lloyd Stevens on October 14, 1944. They had a commercial refrigeration business, retiring to Oliver where they became involved in the community through square dancing. Joan was a Past Matron of the Eastern Star achieving her 60 year pin in 2011. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, October 30, 1 p.m., at 5854 Tulameen Street, Oliver.
