

Leonard "Len" Fisher - After an extended battle with cancer, Len passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Moog & Friends Hospice House, Penticton. Len will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 61 years, Eileen; Son, Randy (Karen); daughters, Marlene (Dwight), Debbie (Lem) and Shelley; sister Loreen (Andy). He will also be sadly missed by his 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. A Penticton resident for 50 years, Len enjoyed working for Inland Natural Gas for 30 years. With Eileen by his side, Len enjoyed the outdoors; camping, hunting, fishing, and golf. Len and Eileen spent many years Rving in Arizona. When they weren't travelling, their time was spent with their family. Len always looked forward to visiting with his children and grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew his Will to Live, his laughter, storytelling and of course his incredible wit. He loved to be challenged at work and play. Len was a man of courage and strength with a clever and unique personality. A special thank you to Bill, John and Ted for their friendship. Also a very special thank you for the incredible care given to Len from the hospice staff. A Celebration of Len's Life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1370 Church Street, Penticton at 11:00 a.m.. Interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Penticton.
