Charline was a good-hearted person who would take in anybody. Once you crossed her, it was over. She believed in being her own person. She didn't ask for help but would step in to help others. You could always depend on Charline when she said "yes" to something.
Charline always put her family rst and instilled that value in her children. She would talk for hours without judging people.
Charline worked at Druid Hill Elementary School for 13 years. She was a foster mother to many children over the course of 32 years.
The most precious moments of Charline's life were the births of her two children: a baby girl named Delicia Lashay Wallace and a baby boy named Robert Pernell Young II. They were the loves of Charline's life.
God called Charline home on January 31, 2026 while she was at NHS Clarkson Hospital, surrounded by family and friends.
Charline was preceded in death by her mother, Cleo Grant; father, Curtis Grant; brother, Bernard Grant; and loving son, Robert Pernell Young II.
Those left to cherish Charline's memory include her daughter, Delicia Wallace; sister, Carla Grant Castille; three grandchildren, Kiarra, Khaliyah, and Quinton Ebo; niece, Chantierra Grant; and great-niece, Chloe Session. Charline also leaves Karma and Ivy Aunna, made to feel like family.
A funeral service for Charline will occur on Saturday, February 14 at 2:00 pm at St. James Missionary Baptist Church (1110 St. James Church Rd, Westpoint, Texas 78963). Charline will be laid to rest at Bethlehem AME Church Cemetery.
