

Clara Elizabeth (Otto) (Hammans) Pierce at 87 years old, went to heaven to be with her loved ones on July 5, 2015, at the Canyon View Hospital in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Clara was born April 2, 1928 in Gibbon, Nebraska to the late Harold and Ida (Fuller) Otto in Gibbon, Nebraska. Clara was married to the late Elton Lloyd Hammans April 17, 1946, in Kearney, Nebraska. She, also, was married to the late Fred Pierce in 1983 in Omaha, Nebraska. She was a devout member of the Church of Latter Days Saints and enjoyed many trips to the temple. She enjoyed doing needlecraft. She made over 1,000 Flags of the United States, after 9/11, and she enjoyed handing them out to anyone that wanted them in remembrance of the day. Clara is survived by two daughters: Betty Jean Lewis-Ward of Sierra Vista, Arizona; and Sally Marie McKee of Tucson, Arizona; by two Grand Children: Bonnie Sue Rivera of Springfield, Virginia; and Michael Lee Pisha of Santee, California, also by three Great Grandsons: Jon-Pawl Steven Rivera of Springfield, Virginia; Tyler Michael Pisha; and Travis Michael Pisha of Santee, California. She was preceded in death by her daughters Carolyn Loraine Snider; Nancy Kay McKee and Vernell June Pisha and also her grandson Andrew Glenn Pisha. The Jensen Sierra Vista Mortuary prepared Clara for her long journey back to her final resting place at West Lawn Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska.
