Debra Kay Kennedy of Omaha, Nebraska was born March 18, 1953 to Jean Wiig and Joseph Peralis. Debra attended Omaha Burke High School. After high school, she worked at Huber Chevrolet prior to leaving the workforce to become a stay-at-home mother. After her children were grown, she re- entered the workforce working at Offutt Air Force Base where she ultimately retired. She loved keeping up with her grandchildren’s activities. She also like watching sports, especially football where she and her husband, Joseph, would predict the outcome of games with a group of loyal friends. She also enjoyed testing her luck in games that involved chance. She met many good friends while playing keno or visiting casinos. Debra never met a stranger that she would not strike up a conversation with. No matter where she was at you could count on her telling strangers embarrassing stories about her children and grandchildren. She was a very proud woman who was especially proud of her children and their accomplishments. Furthermore, she would love to talk about her grandchildren’s achievements.
