Dolores was a vibrant, strong, and loving woman. Her sharp wit, bright spirit, and sass made her unforgettable to all who knew and loved her.
Born on April 28, 1928, Dolores lived a life full of laughter, love, and resilience.
Although her childhood was not an easy one, she had a deep love for church and maintained that faith throughout her adult life. She cherished her faith in God and her family.
She found joy in helping raise her grandsons, and the little things, such as sewing, reading a good book, playing her Aggravation game, and being an exceptional cook. She was deeply devoted to St. Luke’s Church, where she served faithfully on the pie and funeral committee, and managed the church group that sewed and donated doll clothes and the dolls to the Salvation Army for children in need. After working alongside her beloved sister Jean as a cosmetologist, she retired and continued her service to the community as a dedicated volunteer with Seven Can Help.
Fiercely independent, she lived in her own home until her death. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life revolved around her family.
She was always ready with a comeback, a story, or just the right words of encouragement.
Dolores is survived by her two children, Mark Castro, Gayle (Kevin) Pavlik; two grandchildren Kurt (Jemma) Pavlik, Connor (Megan) Pavlik; two great-grandchildren Finnick Pavlik, Layla Pavlik; and beloved nieces and nephews.
