Earl William Humbert

Earl William Humbert was born on September 27th, 1950 to Robert Humbert and June (McNeill) Humbert in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He graduated from Fremont High School in 1969. After high school graduation, Earl began service to his country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. Upon completion of his faithful service, he began several avenues in the trucking industry to include traveling over the road and establishing local routes. Working alongside his Dad Bob, he was able to learn team driving before venturing on his own with Werner Trucking for 32 years. Throughout his life he married Mary Larsen from which Robert and Kathy were born. He was then married to Georgia (Runge) Humbert where he became a father to John and Jennifer as well as Tracy (Runge) Gusman. His wife of 27 years, Diana (Coppa) Humbert shared in the joys of being grandparents and great-grandparents. When in retirement, he enjoyed camping, fishing, watching several Westerns, and being a part of family gatherings.

Earl is survived by his wife Diana; children John (Amy) Humbert, Jennifer (Humbert) Lee and fiance Josh Gumaer; Grandchildren Elizabeth (Derek) Sabatka, Jason (Kaycia) Lee, Josh Lee and fiancee Haley Fauzae, Chloe Getty, Elijah Humbert, Ryan Lee and fiancee Ramani Smith, Titus Humbert, and Keziah Humbert along with four great-grandsons. Also survived by stepmother Soccoro, his sisters Georgia, Ana, and Rosie along with his brothers Roger, Kiko, and Carl. Earl entered into rest on September 19th where he joined his sister JoAnn and both of his parents.

A memorial visitation for Earl will be held Monday, September 29, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.
