May God rest our brother. Gary use to call me on the phone and always end the call in prayer. I am completely shock to learn of his passing but from the lord we come to the lord we return. 

I am deeply saddened to hear the passing of such a great soul. Junie will forever be missed. Sending my love and prayers to Amber, Jackie, Eris, Shawn, Terrance and Tony and to all those whose lives he touched. He was truly a great person. 

May the power of released prayers strengthen and comfort your family at the releasing of Junie into the loving arms of his God of forever until you are united again forever.

We are sorry to hear about Junie’s passing.  Our condolences to the family.  We want you to know that we are keeping your family in our prayers in your time of loss.  May God comfort and keep you in the trying times ahead.

To the Elliston and Mackey Families: I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of cousin "Junie." I will always remember his kind heart and beautiful amber eyes, even as a child!  I last saw Junie at the Greene Family Reunion in Des Moines a number of years ago and got to meet his wife and daughter and get reaquainted.  He was a geniunely nice person who loved our Lord! Í am sorry that I will not be able to come to his funeral but my heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you in your loss. May the Lord comfort and wrap you in His Loving arms in the difficult days ahead! Much love to you!

My condolences to Jackie, Terrance Mackey and extended family on the loss of your loved one. I would see Gary at church on most Sundays and we made it a point to speak and greet each other before leaving church. Words cannot express when you lose a loved one in the mist of the time when God calls us home for internal rest. suddenly. We will continue praying for the family. RIH Gary

Gary was one of my brother's best friend. They had been best buds all through school. As luck would have it, his daughter also became one of my nieces best friend. So our families have been joined together for a long time. My condolences to the family and anyone lucky enough to have known Gary. He was a wonderful person and will be truly missed.

Junie (Gary Elliston, Jr.) What a unique and inspiring nephew!  There was such an innocence about him, especially when he had discovered something new  and worthwhile.  He had a huge entrepreneurial spirit and love for all....He was a Believer and evangelistic soldier, praying for anyone who called upon him.

Gary and I worked together for many years at OPPD. We shared many good times together as well. Gary had a way to make me laugh like no one else could. He was a very bright guy and was great at looking at life through his faith. I'm shocked and saddened to hear about Gary passing. May his family find peace at this time. Gone too soon.
