

Preceded in death by parents, Richard and Virginia Mosser. Survived by loving husband, Charles; children, Jacob (Nikole) Kempnich, Amanda (Dan) Dukich, and Bradley Kempnich; brother, Bill (Vicki) Mosser; sister, Kamie (Bill) Henderson; grandchildren, Vivian and Mary-Catherine; mother and father-in-law, Ray and Elaine Kempnich; and many in-laws, nephews, niece, and cousins.
As a young girl, Jody decided to dedicate her life to helping others and chose to pursue a career in nursing. After graduating from South High in 1977, she attended the College of Saint Mary's and graduated from the accelerated nursing program in 2 years, thus beginning her 46 year long career at Bergan Mercy Hospital.
While working full-time and raising a family, Jody continued her education obtaining a bachelor & master degree in science of nursing. Jody was committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive and ethical patient care. She believed in the future of nursing and enjoyed being a mentor to nurses who were just beginning their careers.
Jody has received numerous awards and acknowledgements during her career and was a member of several nursing organizations that promoted integrity of the profession. Jody's memory will live on forever in the lives she touched and the people she loved.
Please join us in celebrating Jody's life. A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, with vigil service to occur at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 10:30 AM at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 7600 S 42nd St, Bellevue, Nebraska 68147.
Jody will be laid to rest in Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park.
