Joshua James “J.J.” Rubino, 50, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away on October 25, 2025. J.J. was born in Texas on June 11, 1975, to Juan Coutino and Aida Rubino. He was raised by his mom and his adoptive dad, George Rubino. He grew up with his sister, Angel.
While living in Omaha, J.J. met Heather — the person who would become his best friend and wife. They were married on September 12, 1997, and together they raised three boys, Nate, Sammy, and Andrew. Their home was full of energy, laughter, and a lot of wrestling. Wrestling was a big part of J.J.’s life. He loved the sport, but even more, he loved cheering on his boys and being part of the wrestling community, which truly felt like family to him.
J.J. was known for his great sense of humor and his unforgettable laugh. He could make anyone smile and always found a way to lighten the mood. Those who knew him will remember how genuine he was, how easily he accepted everyone, and how much fun it was to be around him.
A visitation to celebrate J.J. 's life will take place on Sunday, November 2, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home where friends and family can come together to share stories and laughter — just the way he would have liked.
