Kathleen "Kathi" A. Bruner

Kathleen Ann Bruner, age 80 of Omaha, Nebraska passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026, at her residence in Omaha, Nebraska, after a short valiant battle with cancer. She was born on August 31, 1945, to Kenneth and Eva (Carlson) Bruner in Omaha, Nebraska.

Kathleen was known by several names-mom, grandma, Fuddy, Kathi, but no matter what name she was known by, her sense of humor and love of fun shined brightly. Kathi loved her thrift shopping, Goodwill, puzzles and answering all the questions on Jeopardy, traveling, riding her lawn mower, but above all her greatest loves were her family.

Kathi is survived by her sons and daughter, Johnny McIntyre of La Shara, NE, Jamie McIntyre of Omaha, NE, Dawn (Todd) Martin of Augusta, KS, and Joe (Macayla) McIntyre of Bellevue, NE; niece, Lisa Klein of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, (John’s)-Nathan, Nick, Chase and Myles; (Jamie’s)-Damean and Taryn; (Dawn’s)-Brandi, Alesha, Randall, Sarah and Shanie; (Joe’s)-Dustin, Jozlyn, Trevor; and many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Eva Bruner; brothers, Kenny and Arnie; and sisters, Donna, Mary and Lynn, all from Omaha, NE and surrounding areas.

In accordance with Kathi's wishes, funeral services will be held at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home. The family invites you to join the celebration of life on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 11:00 am. and share a fond memory of Kathi. A graveside service will follow at Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park, starting at 12:00 pm.
