Survived by wife Sharon Ernst, daughters Shannon Ernst and Stacey Reif (Mike), grandchildren Myles Lacy, Savannah Lacy, Briana Reif, Sydney Reif, and granddog Mazie.
Preceded in death by his beloved bulldog, Waldo.
Rick was born in Chicago and lived in Peotone, Illinois before moving to Omaha. Rick graduated from Westside High School, and attended Omaha University. Rick served a short term in the Navy before marrying Sharon, the love of his life, in 1972. Rick and Sharon owned their own business, Western Sales and Service, Inc. Rick was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, always showing us his love. He loved his Ford Thunderbirds and had a great interest in history, especially World War II. He was kind, loyal, and loved making us laugh. He will forever be in our hearts.
A graveside service for Rick will be held Monday, April 22, 2024 at 10:00 am at Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106.
