Here is Ruth’s recovered heirloom sofa 🥰

I met Ruth decades ago through my sister-in-law (Carole).  This is all of us (from left Elizabeth, Ruth, Carole, Eva) at my garden before leaving for an  annual community garden tour.  Ruth loved gardening and being in nature and was helping Carole in her yard.  One day Carole called to ask if she could bring Ruth over to show her my garden.  That was the beginning of a lifelong friendship!  Ruth had a balcony at her apartment that was always filled with plants and flowers, and comfortable seating to enjoy the view which included pine trees!  I have many good memories of time spent with Ruth (and even personal property to remind me of Ruth daily, since she left behind furniture when she moved in with Elizabeth
