Shirley Ann Beier

Shirley Ann Beier January 23, 1938 - March 12, 2025

Our beloved and loving Mom and Grandma, Shirley, was born to Martin and Thyra Gregersen in Shelby County, Iowa. She grew up on a farm near Elk Horn, Iowa and graduated from Elk Horn-Kimballton High School in 1956. She lived and worked in Atlantic until 1959, when she met and married her forever love, John Beier. Shirley and John lived in Maryville, Missouri and Washington State before finally landing in Omaha where they raised four kids, Scott, Debra, Michael and Jeffrey. Shirley was a dedicated mother yet still found time to partner with her husband to create and build (1967-Present) Products Unlimited, Inc. and other companies of which Products Unlimited and Bonded Fibers Midwest are still going strong today. She even worked as a payroll clerk and bookkeeper for the companies until her retirement in 2019.

Shirley loved to travel. She visited China and cruised to the far corners of the world: Australia. Alaska, Russia, Panama Canal, Mediterranean, British Isles, etc.

On March 12, after a brief illness, Shirley passed away. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, John. Parents: Martin & Thyra Gregersen. Brothers: Bernal Gregersen, Dalton Gregersen. She is survived by her sister: Carolee Hopkins: Son Scott (Julie Gibson-Beier), Daughter Debra (Scott), Son Michael (Kathryn), and Son Jeffrey (Bethany). Grandchildren: Kyle Young (Jess), Kelsey Young (Ryan Matzen), Olivia Beier (Camden Bilyeu), Ethan Beier, Elliot Beier, Sarah Beier, Lauren Beier, Jacob Beier and Brieta Beier.

Memorial Gathering: Thursday, March 20th from 6-8 pm at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center Street, Omaha, NE.
