Charles Jensen

He was born January 1, 1931 in Brooklyn the son of Karl and Nancy (Bjorhvde) Jensen.

Charles served in the US Navy during the Korean War and was discharged in 1951.

For a period of 40 years, retiring in 1993, Charles was an Iron Worker affiliated with

Local 361 in New York City.

He is survived by his children, Charles Jensen, Jr. of Brooklyn, Jen Jensen of Summit, and Patricia Jensen of Singapore; one grandson, Charlie Jensen of Brooklyn, and a devoted friend, Steve Varnes of Summit; two sisters Rose Marie Cass of Vero Beach, FL, Darlene Barth of Brooklyn, and a brother, Jens Jensen of South Carolina.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Thea Jensen.

Friends are invited to call at the Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, 14 Grand St., Oneonta, NY on Wednesday, November 20, from 12 to 2 PM at which time the family will be in attendance.

The United States Navy will accord military honors on Wednesday in the funeral home at 1:45 PM.
