Cindy Sue Hotaling

Calling hours will be held at Kenneth L. Bennett Funeral Home in Franklin, New York from 6-8 on Friday, April 28, 2017.

A celebration of life will be held at Riverside Christian Alliance Church in Walton, New York on Saturday April 29, 2017 at 1pm with Pastor Matthew Thornton officiating. Burial will follow at Ouleout Valley Franklin Cemetery.

The celebration of life will continue at the Otego Fire Department where food will be provided for all who wish to attend.

Cindy was born in Walton, New York to Everett and Elinor France on October 5, 1958. She went to school at Walton High School and graduated in 1976. She went on to work at the Delaware County Nursing Home where she met her husband Allen Hotaling who survives. They were married June 2, 1979.

Cindy then found her passion for educating children at Unadilla Elementary School where she worked as Teachers Assistant for 30+ years.

She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, and cats. She had a love for the children she worked with as long as hummingbirds and forget-me-not flowers.

Cindy is preceded in death by her parents Everett and Elinor.

Cindy is survived by her brother, Terry (Jackie) France of Roscoe; her sister, Gail (Jim) Gunsalus of Vestal; many foster brothers and sisters; her son, Daniel (Penny) Hotaling of Franklin; daughter, Amy (Randall) Murwin of Otego; and one granddaughter, Josaline Hotaling.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to Riverside Christian Alliance Church at 110 Stockton Avenue, Walton NY 13856.
