David H Escher

He was born September 13, 1943 in Oneonta the son of the late Herbert F. and Ruth (Diamond) Escher.

Dave graduated from Oneonta High School the Class of 1961.

He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1981 when he was honorably discharged. Following his discharge, Dave worked for the Veterans Agency in Oneonta doing job placement.

Family was important to him and loved attending family reunions and family gatherings. Dave especially loved his grandchildren and enjoyed going and watching all of their various events they were involved in. You could often find him outside either mowing his lawn or detailing his car. He was also a music buff and enjoyed listening to all kinds of music.

Dave is survived by his three daughters, Kristin (Christopher) Twomey, Kathy (DJ) Stein and Kimberly (Jay) Frazier; six grandchildren, Casey and Cameron Twomey, Tyler and Nick Stein and Jackson and Makenna Frazier; fiancé, Sherri Cerosaletti; sisters, Janet (John) Hendrickson and Ellen Shufelt; brothers, Robert, Stephen, Douglas and Richard (Annie) Escher; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. Burial will be in the Oneonta Plains Cemetery.
