She was born on April 18, 1953 in Oneonta, the daughter of the late Hugh and Onie (Springett) Knapp. Dawn was a graduate of Laurens High School in 1971. She was married to Edward Robinson on May 8, 1982 at the Franklin Baptist Church in Franklin.
Dawn was a very determined woman. Once she set her mind on something, she would not give up until her objective was accomplished. In her younger years, she loved to work on cars with her father, joking recently that she should have become a mechanic instead of a nurse.
As a natural caregiver, she was also a very kind and generous person who always would make sure that her children never wanted for anything. Family was very important to Dawn and she loved spending as much time as she could with them, especially her grandchildren who meant the world to her. She especially loved spending the holidays with her family.
Dawn is survived by her husband, Edward Robinson of Richmond, Kentucky; her children, Tina (William Warren II) Moreau of Otego, Sabrina Burgher-Hanvey of Otego, Lance (Shannon Ford) Robinson of Richmond, Kentucky, and Jeannette Robinson-Borne of Otego; and her grandchildren, Sebastian, Mackenzie, Gavin, Chrissy, Alijah, Adrienne, and Jasmine.
She is also survived by her siblings, Dale (James) Larson of Zephyrhills, Florida, Andrea McKendree, Philip Knapp, and Robin Knapp, all of Pasco County, Florida.
