Evelyn B. Wheeler

Evelyn worked for the NY Telephone Company as the switchboard operator. She was a member and former President of the Eastern Star and a member of the Elm Park United Methodist Church. She loved to listen to country western music.

She is survived by her brother, Donald and Loreen Wheeler of Oneonta; her nieces and nephew, Linda and Peter Natale, Eda and Dennis Dorosky, Ralph Wheeler and Deborah and Fabio DiFrancescantonio, as well as great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother and sister in law, Harold D. and Mary Wheeler and a nephew, James Wheeler.

Calling hours will be held at the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main St., on Monday, 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, 1:00 PM in the Elm Park United Methodist Church, 401 Chestnut St., with Reverend Olu Harding, Pastor of the church officiating. Burial will follow in the Oneonta Plains Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Evelyn’s name to the Elm Park United Methodist church, 401 Chestnut St., Oneonta, NY 13820.
