
Frances Lovica Pierce Moreland went home to be with the Lord on August 25, 2013, surrounded by her loving family at Heritage Hall Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. She had lived in Leesburg since 1992. Her death follows several years of declining health.
She was the second child born to Ira and Alice Pierce of Otego, New York on January 17, 1922. Mrs. Moreland is survived by her brother, Clarence Lee Pierce of Oneonta; and three daughters, Donna Moreland of Greenville, Maine, Alice Zoller of Leesburg, Virginia, and Anita Smith of Herndon, Virginia. Also surviving are two sons-in-law, John Zoller and Shepherd Smith; nine grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.
Mrs. Moreland lived in Sidney, New York from 1955 to 1962 when her husband served as pastor of Sidney Baptist Church. Before retiring to Leesburg, Virginia at age 70, Frances spent 18 years of service with her husband as a missionary to Europe under Greater Europe Mission.

All that knew her are welcome to attend a graveside service in the Bennett Weatherly Cemetery, West Laurens, New York, on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 1:00 P.M.
