Geraldine L. Kelsey

She was born September 12, 1926, in Treadwell, NY. She married Monty Kelsey, the love of her life, on July 11, 1944, in Oneonta.

Geraldine was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She was a stay-at-home Mom for many years until she began working at Bresee's Oneonta Dept. Store. She also belonged to the Oneonta Moose Club.

She loved square dancing and the polka. Geraldine enjoyed and loved Bingo, Gambling, Card Games with Monty and all the Grandchildren, and traveling. She was a wonderful cook and baked the best Christmas Cookies that are now passed down. Most of all we will remember her loving ways and all her "witty" phrases one of which was, "so be it!".

She is survived by her Son David Kelsey and Wife Cynthia; four Grandchildren, Shaun Kelsey and Wife Amy, Nathaniel Kelsey and Wife Page, Katrina Graf and Husband Nikolas, and Misty Allen (deceased) and Husband John; five Great Grandchildren, Julia, Hannah, & Rachael Kelsey, Samantha Allen, and Cooper Kelsey; two sisters Bertha Jacques and Husband Raymond and Rosemary Beers; many nieces and nephews.

Geraldine was predeceased by Husband Monty Kelsey, Son Richard Kelsey and Wife Vonda Kelsey, Granddaughter Misty Allen (John), three sisters; Cora Kelsey, Doris Layman, and Catherine Edwards; two brothers Robert & William Davenport.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend Graveside Service to be held at 1 p.m. on October 5, 2024, at the Ouleout Valley Cemetery in Franklin, NY.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to American Heart Association.
