Helen M. Boyd

She was born October 17, 1930 in Colliersville, NY the daughter of the late Wilson and Leita (Minster) Cunningham.

For many years, Helen worked in the housekeeping department at the A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital.

Helen loved her cats and her granddog, “Chloe II”. She was a wonderful mother having raised four children (three rambunctious boys and one precious daughter) on her own. She was stern when she needed to be and loving the rest of the time.

Helen is survived by her three sons, William Boyd of Oneonta, Lloyd Boyd, Jr. and his wife, Joanne Puylara-Boyd, of Oneonta and Ronald Boyd; one grandson, Aaron Boyd of Oneonta. She was predeceased by her daughter, Jane Boyd and her two brothers, James and Ken Cunningham.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Oneonta Plains Cemetery with the Reverend Mel Farmer officiating. Memorial donations in Helen’s name may be made to either the Susquehanna SPCA, 4841 State Highway 28, Cooperstown, New York 13326 or to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, PVA: Donation Processing Center7 Mill Brook Rd, Wilton, NH 03086.
