Irma and Bob retired to Florida in 1982. They loved Florida and spent their time playing golf, cards and traveling. They had many friends and Irma considered Florida her favorite place. They continued to spend their summers at the family lake property in Connecticut with their grandchildren. They moved to the Plains at the Parrish Homestead in Oneonta, NY in 2010, to start their second retirement.
Irma leaves her daughter, Susan and her husband, Michael Otis of Cooperstown; and three grandchildren, Jessica, William, and Benjamin. She is also survived by her sister, Marguerite (Betty) Guinan, and her nieces and nephew, Kathy, Janice and John. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her son, William.
She will be remembered as a friendly, hard working person that loved to do things for others. A private memorial service will be held this summer in Connecticut. Donations in Irma’s memory can be made to the Salvation Army.
