James A Rudloff

In the early morning hours of Friday, September 6, 2024 James, 72 years of age succumbed to his 2 year battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family.

Jim is predeceased by his mother Nina Rudloff and his older brother Ed Rudloff. He was raised by his mother Nina and remained in the Oneonta area. He is survived by his children Jennifer Grace , Jim (Kristin) Rudloff, and Jessie (Jason) Grigsby and his brother John (Lynn) Rudloff. He is also survived by his partner Debbie Rizzo Jakubowsku and the greatest loves of his life, his grandchildren. To Patrick James, Juliana, Jayla, Payton, Ashton, Jayden, Sean, Olivia, and Tyler, he was their Papi.

Professionally, Jim worked in the optical business for over 40 years. He was a Scout Leader and President and Mentor of the American Diabetes Association within the local area. However, his true passion was coaching. Jim was a youth soccer coach for over 20 years, coaching many championship boys and girls teams within the community.

There will be a service at Grummon’s Funeral Home on Friday, September 20, 2024 from 4-6pm. All are welcome to come share memories, stories and pay tribute.
