My condolences to the Fink family. RIP buddy

My husband was a classmate of John's. We always enjoyed meeting with him and catching up on the comings and goings of OHS grads. He was a sweet man with a big heart. We will miss him.

My condolences to John's family. John was a former classmate and will miss him at our reunions. John often said "to make a long story short".

I want to pass along my sincerest condolences to John's family.  I had the wonderful opportunity to work with John while at SEMO and will never forget his stories and his infectious attitude.  I will truly miss him.  Rest in peace my friend.

John never changed...forever a kind, generous, witty and most of all a family man, always speaking of his family with pride and love. Dearest Lucy, Bubby and family, So very sorry to hear of John's passing. Have many fond memories of growing up with John and all the Baby Boomers in our neighborhood. Hope my brother, Wally, will finally tell John where he buried his "socks full of money". RIP John.

We are saddened by the news of your Father's death.  He was such a wonderful friend of ours even though we didn't get together, but when  we ran into each other downtown, we always had long conversations.  You know how proud he was of you because his conversations most generally began and ended with you.  We have passed the news onto Darrell and he sends his deepest regrets.

May God continually comfort you and the family during this loss of a wonderful father, husband, grandfather, brother and more.  We will miss talking to him downtown with his cup of coffee.

"Good morning, this is John Fink from Oneonta station..." The staff at the National Weather Service in Binghamton will miss hearing those words. Many of us heard them daily for over 20 years. John was one of our Cooperative Weather Observers providing climatological data. We are saddened to learn of his passing and our thoughts and prayer go out to his family. Thank you for your dedicated service, John.

I am truly sadden to hear of John's passing.  He was a dedicated husband, father/grandfather and co-worker.  Many fond memories of John and working with him at SEMO/OEM.  In John's own famous last words..."Elvis has left the building"...he will be greatly missed.  RIP my friend.

My colleagues and I are deeply saddened to learn on John's passing. I worked with him for many years when he was with the NY State Emergency Management Office (SEMO). He was an exceptionally kind and considerate professional. May he rest in peace.

It is so hard to see my friend's name here.  Our families were very close as children into our adult lives on Grand St and then Spruce St. We were Family.  We had so much fun: I am so sorry Rene, Aaron, Lucy, Bub, and Family for your loss.  I wish I could be there with you at this time.  Prayers lifted up for you all.

I was saddened to hear the news of John's passing. While I had only spoken with him briefly in passing at work, I always found him to be the finest of gentlemen.  His presence will be missed in the office.

I was so sorry to hear of John's passing. We only worked together a short time, but I could tell he was a kind, gentle soul. Whenever I eat chocolate I think of him and the different kinds of chocolate we enjoyed a few times together.

My friend and co-worker for a number of years. John was a rock and roll aficionado and loved Elvis.  He was truly one of a kind, and always had a story to tell. John loved to share the funny ones most.  He would say "to make a long story short" or "one more and I'll let you go".  Seems the time was never long enough.  
John was a gentleman and will be sincerely missed.

Lucy and family so sorry for your loss John was a great guy.  Always smiling and always said hello.  God will be taking care of him now.

I offer my sincere condolences to the family of John Fink. I'm sorry to hear of John's passing after just talking to him a few days ago. He was my friend and colleague, both of us started at the county level and then to NYS-EMO. I will miss him but will never forget John and the good times we shared together.
