Kathleen M. Wright

She was born in Huntington, LI on December 16, 1965, the daughter of Philip and Eileen (McMahon) Johnsen, who predeceased her. She married Mark J. Wright on May 28, 1988 in Schenectady, NY.

Kathy graduated from Laurens Central School in 1984 and in 1986 from SUNY Cobleskill.

Upon graduation, she held several secretarial positions in Albany and Saratoga. She and her husband Mark moved to Oneonta in 1997. In 1998 she joined Chesser Realty as a salesperson, and in 2002 she became co-founder of ERA Realty with Dick Cavanaugh. For the past two years she has been a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Mark J. Wright of West Oneonta; 2 sons, Philip D Wright of Davenport, and David M. Wright of West Oneonta; 1 brother, Keith Johnsen of Seattle, WA; father and mother-in-law, Roger and Linda Wright of Mt. Vision; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be offered on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 10:15 am in St. Mary’s Church, 39 Walnut Street, Oneonta with the Rev. David Mickiewicz, officiating. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
