

Keith N. Holbrook, a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. He was a man whose strength, generosity, and unwavering love touched the lives of all who knew him.
Keith was predeceased by the love of his life, Glenna Holbrook of Laurens, NY; his parents, Mason Holbrook and Doris Kreck; his sister, Barbara Huggins; and his niece, Robin Pike.
He is survived by his three DEVOTED daughters, who were the pride and joy of his life: Kimberly Holbrook Gilbertson of West Oneonta, NY; Stacy Holbrook Frederick (Bryce) of Morris, NY; and Megan Holbrook of Albany, NY.
Keith was also a proud grandfather to Christopher Mason James Gilbertson (Ericka Erickson) of Morris, NY, and Luka Hendricks of Albany, NY. His love and support for his grandsons knew no bounds.
He is also survived by his unwavering sister, Charlotte Georgia of West Oneonta, NY; and loving brother, Bernald “Bud” Holbrook (Barb) of Ashland, VA; and sister-in-law Barbie Mednansky (Scott) of Oneonta, NY.
Keith’s extended family includes many nieces and nephews whom he held dear: Tammy Southard (Russ), Christina Zuill (Randy), Michelle Catan (Paul), Chrissie Sonnenberg (Pat), Brian Holbrook, Jeffrey Holbrook, and Rick Pike, along with great nieces and nephews who brought him so much joy.
A Vietnam veteran and member of the Laurens and Oneonta American Legions, as well as the American Legion Riders, Keith’s dedication to service continued long after his time in the military. He and Glenna founded Holbrook Sanitation Service, a successful family business they ran for nearly 30 years. Keith also worked as a mechanic and bus driver for Laurens Central School, always committed to serving his community and supporting his family. He work ethic was bar none.
After retirement, Keith and Glenna took to the open road on their Honda Goldwing, exploring the country together and savoring life’s journey. He found joy in the kitchen, cooking Friday night dinners for his legion families, and was a natural host who made everyone feel welcome.
A master mechanic and classic car enthusiast, Keith’s garage was a hub of activity—whether he was fixing something, restoring a car, or just enjoying a visit from friends and family. Animals also held a special place in his heart; every stray knew there was a home waiting at the Holbrooks.
Keith's kindness and generosity were legendary. He was the first to show up when someone needed help, often offering the shirt off his back without hesitation. His legacy of compassion and perseverance will continue to live on through his daughters, grandsons, and all those fortunate enough to have known him.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
