A lifetime entrepreneur and businessman Mr. Vargha settled in Oneonta to be close to his children.
Mr. Vargha and his wife, Fereshteh, were members of the local Baha’i Community of Oneonta.
He is survived by his wife, Fereshteh, son, Ruhi and daughter-in-law, Tareneh of Rochester, son, Vali and daughter-in-law, Marybeth of Westford, son, Aziz of Oneonta; and his sisters, Malihe, Monir, Parvin and Lamehe Vargha. Grandchildren, Nabil, Leila, Adiya and Nasim and many relatives and friends around the world.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2012 in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. Baha’i funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Maryland Cemetery, Maryland.
