Mary E. Baker

She was born August 9, 1958 in Niskayuna, NY the daughter of the late Mary and John Bloomer, Jr.

For several years, Mary worked in housekeeping for the Comfort Inn, Cooperstown. She truly enjoyed working with everyone there and was looking forward to another baseball season.

She enjoyed being outdoors sitting by a fire, camping and bingo.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Becky (Jeff) Bever of Howes Cave; son, Christopher (Sabrina) Rogers of Herkimer; grandchildren, Tabatha, Joseph and Andrew Bever, Adam Rogers, Bobbi-Lee (Ty) Baker and Nicky Baker; great grandchildren, Jacob Bever, Jessika Mitchell and John Bever; brothers, David (Dorothy) Bloomer of Lawton, OK and Mark (Linda) Bloomer, Largo, FL; sister, Mary Jane (Jim) Shafer of Charlotteville; sister-in-law, Jackie Bloomer of Esperance; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her parents; John Baker; loving companion, Carol Lewis; siblings, John Bloomer, III, Joe Bloomer, Tom Bloomer and Hazel Martin.

Mary’s family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire Hospice team and the Radiation Oncology Team at Bassett in Cooperstown for the wonderful care given to her.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Charlotteville Fire House, Charlotteville. Memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s memory to Helio’s Care, 297 River Street Service Road, Oneonta, NY 13820.
