

She was born March 10,1941 at Parshall Hospital on Myrtle Ave, Oneonta the daughter of Edith Angellotti Kellogg.
Having grown up together, living just two houses apart, Rosalyn married the love of her life, Karnes Niles on January 23, 1960 in Oneonta. Together they shared nearly 64 years of marriage. "My whole world was my husband and together our whole world is our daughters, our family and many friends we include as an extension of our family".
"Roz" was the center of it all. Gathering everyone together to share an endless bounty of great food, good wine and captivating stories. Rosalyn liked beautiful things and that was reflected in her many talents. She excelled as a gifted seamstress, quilter, stained glass artist and gardener. Sharing close bonds and friendships through the Susquehanna Valley Quilters Guild.
She was employed as a bookkeeper and courtroom hearing attendant for many years, a member of the Oneonta Elks Club 1312 and served as past President for the Ladies of the Elks.
Rosalyn is survived by her loving husband, Karnes Niles; two daughters, Natali and Bill West and Leanne Niles McCormack and Michael Murphy; four grandchildren, Kerri and Mark Lann, Kyle and Michael Beckley-Abourizk, Erik Beckley and Kerrie DeLiberis and Courtney West and Joelle Byrne; two great grandchildren, Steven and Matthew Lann; sister-in-law, Audrey Thayer; two sister friends, Judie Betts and Nettie Jean Scarzafava; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her mother, Edith Kellogg; sister, Marti (Martha) Kellogg Roe; and two special aunts, Milena and Virginia Angellotti.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023 in the Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, 14 Grand Street, Oneonta from 4:00-6:00PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 in the funeral home at 11:00AM with Rev. Christopher Welch officiating. Burial will be private in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
