
He was born April 14, 1969 in Sidney the son of Barbara (Hobbie) Lord and Burt Becker.
Terry graduated from Unatego High School the class of 1987 where he was always on the Honor Society.
For several years he was an Independent Living Advisor at Job Corp., Oneonta.
Terry was a civil war and star wars buff. In fourth grade, Terry won an essay contest, he had to write about the “man of the year” and being the Star Wars buff that he was he wrote it on George Lucas. He won a trip to Penn State and was on television. Terry was nominated for West Point but due to health reasons wasn’t able to attend. He loved reading and had a great passion for books. Terry enjoyed shooting pool; watching his Pittsburgh Steeler play, he was a huge fan. In his adult life, Terry had a dream of going to Spain and running with the bulls and in 2009 his dream came true. He traveled to Pamplona, Spain and ran with the bulls during the San Fermin festival. But his greatest love was his ferrets, Kit and Carson. Terry made his mom proud and will be deeply missed.
Terry is survived by his mother, Barbara Lord, Oneonta; his father, Burt Becker and family, Laurens; 2 brothers, William “Buddy” Lord and family and Shayne Becker and family; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta.
