EN EL CUIDADO DE
Draper Mortuary
Connie Sue Schermerhorn Cataldo
Connie passed away peacefully at her home in Ontario surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Parnell Missouri in 1947, the 3rd of 5 children, and lived in Oklahoma and Texas before moving to Ontario, California. She attended Chaffey High School where she was a member of the Drill Team for 4 years. She graduated mid-term with the Class of ’65 and met her 1st husband shortly after. Kimberle was born in 1966 and was the center of her life. In 1973, she was in a terrible car accident that took her sight, but blindness only made her stronger. She married Sonny Cataldo in 1975 and for the next 47 years they lived the ultimate love story side by side. Connie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and soon-to-be great-grandmother. She loved to sing, follow the family’s musical endeavors, camp, listen to her talking books, and tell great stories. She is survived by her husband, Sonny Cataldo, brother Don Schermerhorn, daughter Kimberle Flachs Marquardt and her husband Marcus, Grandsons Jonathan and Weston and his wife Nicole.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the ‘Tunnel to Towers Foundation’ in memory of Connie Cataldo. The website is T2T.org, click the red box that says donate. Click the box that says "Dedicate my donation in honor or in memory of someone".
