David Alfredo Arrieta Jr., affectionately known as "Pops" to his sons & "Papa" to his grandchildren, age 56, of Ontario, CA passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024. Born to David & Karen Arrieta on November 30,1967, David was a cherished member of the Ontario community which he loved.

David was known for his artistic talents, woodworking skills, love of Beatles Music, and his legendary barbeque skills.

David's early years were spent in the company of his siblings, Michael, Suszan, Amanda, Steven & Lisa, where they forged a bond that would last a lifetime. After graduating from Mountain View High School located in El Monte, CA in 1985, he pursued a short career in the United States Army as a proud Military Police Officer. David also honorably served overseas in Desert Storm.

In 1993, David met the woman who would accompany him for the remainder of his life's journey, Eileen in West Covina, CA. They wed in 1996 and together nurtured a family that would include children Ryan, David, Daniel, Jeffory & Steven, along with 8 wonderful grandchildren. David's legacy is carried on through his family, whom he loved with every fiber of his being. His nieces, nephews and extended family members will also feel his absence, as well as a wide circle of friends & colleagues.

David's life was rich with hobbies that spoke of his woodworking & artistic talents. David's barbeque, especially his famous steak was legendary. He served up many a juicy steak to family & friends and nobody ever left hungry.

In his later years, David gained a love for his garden and spent many a sunny afternoon pruning his fragrant rose bushes.

David will be remembered as a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. His warmth, wisdom, and the joy he brought to so many gatherings will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A service to celebrate David's life will be held on February 2, 2024 at 3 p.m. at

Draper Mortuary
