Douglas L. Powell

Douglas Lee Powell of San Bernardino, California, passed away on July 28, 2016 at St. Bernadine's Hospital in San Bernardino at the age of 69. He was born to Leland and Margaret Powell on June 7, 1947 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Douglas had most recently been an IT Specialist for the last 20 years following an initial career in aerospace engineering. His passions led him to photography, painting, drawing, gun collecting, jewelry creation and computer technology.

Douglas is survived by his wife, Maggie: his four daughters, Julia Mesa, Deborah Dominguez, Cynthia Aguirre, and Marlene Hernandez; his sisters, Dawn Hoffman, and Margie Wilson; and his brothers, Kelly and Billy Powell. Mr. Powell has been blessed with five grandchildren, Michael Dominguez, Chris Dominguez, Steve Dominguez, Phillip Rubidoux, Jr., and Hunter Powell; and five great-grandchildren, Rozlin Dominguez, Mariah Dominguez, Lilly Dominguez, Madison Dominguez, and Dominik Dominguez.

Douglas was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Phillip Rubidoux, Jr.

A Rosary Service will be held at Draper Mortuary, 811 N. Mountain Avenue in Ontario, California on Monday, August 15, 2016 at 10:00 am and will be followed with a graveside service at Bellevue Memorial Park, 1240 W. G Street in Ontario, California.
