Esther Marquez Gomez

Esther was born on July 26, 1937 in California to her parents, Natalia and Raymundo. She spent part of her childhood in Guadalajara, Mexico, before returning to Ontario, where she spent the majority of her life. There she married her lifelong partner, Celso Gomez (deceased 2019), with whom she raised their surviving children: Joanna Gomez of Ventura, California; Jaime Gomez of Ontario, California; and Cristina Key of San Francisco, California. Esther is also survived by her grandchildren, Lucas Gomez of San Diego, California and Carlos Key of New York, New York. Her sweet kitty, Shady, never left her side.

Her family adored her and admired her work ethic, sense of humor, strength, intelligence, beauty, style, composure, and loyalty. Her supportive and loving nature bolstered the family and fostered a warm-hearted spirit enjoyed by the many who knew her. Esther was kind to all, considerate, and accepted everyone around her with grace and good humour.

She will be deeply missed, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
