Frances Morketter Leo

Frances Morketter Leo of Upland, California passed away peacefully at her home on October 5, 2022, at the age of 95. She was born on July 7, 1927, in Oxnard, California, to Theodore and Florence Morketter, the middle of three children. She grew up on the family farm in Ontario, and attended Chaffey High School, graduating in 1945, and then earned her AA degree from Chaffey College.

She was a beautiful and lively young woman, who, in 1947, married the love of her life, Melvin Leo. They raised 5 children and were happily married for 67 years. She was an active member of Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church.

She enjoyed hosting parties in her home, and in the summer, loved to go camping with her family at as many of the national parks as they could, along with vacations at the beach and Hawaii. She was a practical homemaker, a devoted mother, and an accomplished seamstress. She had a long interest in health and wellness.

She is predeceased by her husband Melvin, her son Greg and her sister Jean.

She is survived by her children Annette Erlandson (Bud), Doug Leo (Kathy), Joan O’Toole (Bill) and Diane Sweeney, her brother David, 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Mom, you are deeply loved, and we will all miss you every day, until we are able to see you again in heaven!
