

Frank passed away peacefully on August 26, 2013. He is proceeded in death by his 2 sons Rudy and Gilbert Payan. He is survived by his Wife of 70 years: Margaret Cano Payan; his Children: Ruben Payan, Dora Ramirez and Carlos Payan Sr.; his Grandchildren: Marc Payan, Kristine Rennacker, Marnie Payan- Guerrero, Priscilla Payan, Damien Ramirez, Dustin Ramirez, Dustin Ramirez, Kevin Ramirez, Vanessa Castro, Desiree Alday, Carlos Payan Jr. and Amanda Payan; and many Great Grandchildren. Frank was born in El Paso, Texas on April 1, 1923, to his parents Policarpio and Nasaria Payan. He was a life long resident of Ontario. He served as a Military Policeman in the United States Army from January 1943 to October 1945. While serving his Country during World War II, he received a Good Conduct Ribbon, ETO Ribbon, and Bronze Star Medal. Upon Honorable Discharge, he began his career at Kaiser Steel as a Mill Operator, and retired after 40 years. His favorite hobbies included playing pool, fishing, and dancing with his Wife to Nortenos and Cumbias. He was a strong, loving, kind and hardworking man who will be missed by everyone who knew him!
