Georgia Carole Kelso

Mrs. Georgia Kelso went home to be with our Lord on the 15th day of Aug., 2013. She was born in Zanesville, Ohio on Jun. 20 1937. The daughter of Wilma Slonaker and George Kappel. Georgia is survived by five children: Elizabeth (Jay) Coates of Bonner Ferry, Idaho, Christina Israel Gorecki of Taunton, MN, Craig (Donna) Israel of Shasta Lake, CA, Cathy Israel Brunty of Redding, CA, Carole Israel Douglas of Ontario, CA. Two sisters Wanda Kappel Wilson of Union City, IN, Marcia (John) Slonaker Paschal of Union City, IN. One half brother, Lonnie (Rose) Dodson of Utica, Ohio. She is also survived by her best friend of nearly 50 years, Mary Buckle of Pittsburg, IKA. Georgia’s first husband, Walter Israel, passed away in 1963. She was married to Paul Kelso for 37 years. He passed away in 2001. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Kappel Maack Dec. 2011. Georgia has twelve grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She is a long time member of Chino United Methodist Church. Services will be held Thur. Aug. 22, 2013, visitation from 10-11, service starting at 11. Pastor Glen Haworth officiating. Committal service will be at Forest Lawn, Covina Hills
