Jesse Lee Armstrong

Jesse Lee Armstrong was born May 3rd, 1944 in Jones, Louisiana to Willie Armstrong and Susie Jones Armstrong. Jesse died Saturday March 18th, 2023 at the age of 78. Jesse met and married Mary Peggy Wiggins Armstrong, a single mother with two children, Stephanie and Anthony Askew. They were married for 52 years and they added to this union a daughter, Angela Armstrong. Jesse was employed for the Lever Brothers soap company for 18 years. And he drove buses for Foothill Bus Company and the Ontario airport for 25 years. He loved his family and enjoyed sports especially the Lakers Basketball Club. He loved backyard barbecues, playing dominoes and cards. Most of all he loved to go fishing.

He was preceded in death by his father Willie Armstrong, mother Susie Armstrong, brothers William and Anderson Armstrong, sisters Carrie Payne, Mary Henderson and Bobbie Armstrong.

He is survived by his wife Peggy Armstrong, sons Calvin Brandon and Anthony Askew and daughters Stephanie Orange and Angela Diaz, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, two sisters Florence Henderson and Vicky Key and a host of nieces and nephews and Friends.
