Jose G Casillas, 68 years of age, passed away on January 21, 2018. He was born in Tijuana, Mexico on February 23, 1949. He moved to the United States as a child and resided in Southern California for the majority of his life. He served in the U.S. Army overseas and was a proud veteran. He was a dedicated worker, employed by Volkswagen of America for 31 years. Upon retiring, he volunteered at the Chino Senior Center and then helped to care for his granddaughter.
Jose enjoyed music, gardening, cooking, tinkering, watching movies and trips to Laughlin.
His warm smile, positive outlook, generosity and sense of humor will be greatly missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth, son, Joe, daughter-in-law, Sarah, granddaughter, as well as numerous sisters, brothers, cousins, nieces, nephews and godchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in memory of Jose to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The family would like to extend their gratitude to everyone for their love, care and prayers.
