Jose Ricardo Vera (Richard), 50, of Fontana, entered the gates of heaven February 25, 2018 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, in Beverly Hills. He was born on June 30, 1967 in Guadalajara Mexico and lived in Southern California for 38 years. He was a loving son to Arturo and Marcela Vera.
Richard is survived by his son Daniel and daughter-in-law, Alyssa, along with their two children Damien and Gabriella. He also leaves behind his sisters Georgina, Claudia, and Ana, and his brothers George, Carlos, Sergio, and Arturo. Along with many other beloved nieces and nephews.
Richard enjoyed off roading, attending car shows, and enjoying the outdoors whenever he was not spending time with his family.
Visitation will be held at Draper Mortuary, 811 N. Mountain Avenue, Ontario, California 91762 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday March 14, 2018. A Rosary Service will begin that evening beginning at 7:00 pm. A celebration of life honoring Richard will be held on Thursday March 15, 2018 at Draper Mortuary beginning at 1:00 pm. Burial services will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park, 1240 W. G Street, Ontario, California.
Richard endured over 25 years of dialysis treatments and overcame many adversities, dozens of surgeries including two kidney transplants. He is remembered as a strong, funny, handy man as well as a man who loved his family deeply. He will be greatly missed but his memory and spirit will live forever in the lives of his family and friends.
