Born March 26, 1959 in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas to his parents, Bobbie and Leon Taylor. A military kid, Leon and his family moved across the states and settled in California.
Leon was a renaissance man and had many professions but retired as a driver. He was a loving, kind, and generous man to everyone. He took on different roles for many who otherwise would not have had a father, grandfather, uncle, godfather, or friend.
He was always willing to step in and help those close to him in any way he could. He had many interests that included bowling, camping, cooking, music, dancing, barbecuing and was famous for his ribs. He was a DJ and had a special love for his 1971 Chevy Monte Carlo. He was a diehard Washington Redskins fan. He enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and was a casino man. He could have an intimidating appearance but once you got to know him he was a teddy bear. To know him was to love him.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Elsie Anzures-Taylor, two daughters, Breanna and Leanna, brothers, Alvin Sr., Eric Sr., and Brian, grandchildren, Leon IV, Christopher, and Aja. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bobbie and Leon Taylor, his son, Leon III, and sister, Kim.
In honor of his wishes no service will be held.
