

Ramiro Sabastian Gonzalez was born to Ramon and Raquel Cantu Gonzalez on the 10th of July 1947 in San Antonio, Texas. He attended St Philip of Jesus Elementary School and graduated from Central Catholic High School after high school he attended San Antonio College. He joined the U.S. Navy August 1967 and served on the USS Towhee (AGS-28) and on Mare Island, CA until 1971.
Ramiro is survived by his wife of 35 years Annemieke; his son Mark Gonzalez, Daughter Evelien Roa (Eddie Sandoval), granddaughters; Samantha, Ashley, Karissa and, brother Gilberto (Mary)Gonzalez, sister Rose Marie Gonzalez, Maria Alberta Montano (Eric) and numerous nephews and nieces, cousins.
He worked for the City of Arcadia until his retirement.
Ramiro was preceded in death by his father Ramon, his mother Raquel, his brothers; Ramon Gonzalez Jr., Bartolomeo and his siter Christina Blanca Harris.
Ramiro enjoyed fishing with his son, traveling abroad and his work with the Knights of Columbus and helping his church (St. Joseph).
Ramiro was active in his church and worked tirelessly for his parish, St. Joseph in Upland, CA where he was a Master of Ceremonies for the Mass and led Bible Studies and with the Knights of Columbus, which he joined in August 2015 with whom he was a 4th degree Knight, past Grand Knight and current Financial Officer of his local Council .
Ramiro will be loved and missed by all who knew him, his family, and friends.
