Richard Marquez

Richard was born on June 23, 1940 in Upland, California. He then entered into rest on April 30, 2026, after 85 bright years of life.

Richard will be remembered with deep respect for the steady, grounded way he moved through life and for the quiet devotion he showed to the people and places he loved most. He leaves a legacy of family closeness and enduring care that will continue to be felt across generations.

Those who knew Richard knew the comfort he found in the natural world. His affection for animals was evident, and his love for his ranch—along with the horses that were part of that life—reflected a lasting appreciation for the rhythms of open land, responsibility, and simple, honest joys.

Richard, beloved grandfather and great-grandfather, is survived by his wife, Doris Serdoz; his brother, Arthur Marquez, his sister, Theresa Daniel; step-son Robert Serdoz.

Though he will be missed dearly, his memory and legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
