Robert "Bob" George Houde

Robert “Bob” Houde, 83, passed away at Kaiser Hospital on Mar 18, 2013. Robert was a native of Fall River, MA and moved to Ontario with his wife, Claire, and two young daughters in 1955. Bob went to work at Kaiser Steel and then the US Post Office where he remained until his retirement after 33 years. Bob also worked part-time as Maitre d’ at the Sycamore Inn in the 70’s and 80’s and a waiter at the Magic Lamp Restaurant in the 60’s. Claire passed away in 1983.

Bob remarried and is survived by his current wife, Bernice Houde. Bob is also survived by three children, Aline Scott, Michelle Harter and Deborah Desmond, two grandchildren, Sara Scott and Adam Houde, and four great grandchildren, Lukas and Jacob Scott and Savannah and Jeremiah Houde.

Bob was an avid bowler, a major fan of the golf channel, and was always ready for a good card game. His favorites were Bridge, Whist, Pinochle, and Rook.

There will be a luncheon reception at Draper’s immediately following the funeral service.
